Dunes near Corralejo, Fuerteventura
These photographs show the dunes near Corralejo in Fuerteventura. Again, the Ektachrome slide film was cross-processed in C-41.
Swiss Mountains – Time Lapse
Just finished another time lapse video with footage from the Swiss mountains. The larger version is on vimeo. Footage was shot using my Canon PowerShot G10 (using an external Yongnuo MC-36b intervalometer), and my Nikon D3. The movie was then edited in Final Cut, and background music created in-house was added. I’ve made a quick [...]
At the Seaside
I just printed this image from my series At the Seaside. After some testing, the 26 cm / 10′ ultrachrome prints really look good. The movement of the water is much more powerful and stronger than on screen. I wonder how this would look as a 40′ print on the wall…? The whole seascape series [...]
At the Seaside
From the series “At the Seaside” with seascapes. Find it via my portfolio. Taken with a Hasselblad (very old, same age as me) and Planar f2.8/80mm, on Kodak T-Max 100 film developed in Kodak D-76.
Frozen
Frozen were my fingers (and the water). Taken with my Graflex Crown Graphic 4×5″ camera on Polaroid 55 film, overexposed. Scan from negative. Below is the digital brother of the capture above, taken with a Canon G10 camera. It’s become a paradox: Polaroid film has traditionally been used as a proof for shooting on film, [...]
Snow, Fog, and the Last Sunrays
Just a few minutes before sundown – which is early these days! – I managed to get over the fog to see the last sunrays. Within minutes, the world turned from warm gold to cold blue.
Panorama Photography
In landscape photography, nature often offers a lot more than you can freeze in a single exposure. To stitch several exposures together for a panoramic view, there are applications such as PTGui. The first and the last panorama show the famous alpine peaks Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The first shot was taken from Kleine Scheidegg [...]
A Stormy Run
For this shot I used a 24 mm wide-angle lens with a gradual neutral density filter for the sky. There were two lights on either side of the runner, the one on the right a bit nearer. The ambient was underexposed by about 2 values. Postprocessing in Photoshop with USM, desaturation, dodge&burn.
Beautiful Morning
Early in the morning just after sunrise… This is blended from three shots taken at different exposures because there were huge differences between shadow and light areas.
