How can a small island make you feel like being in a desert? The dusty and bumpy road along the west shore seems endless as we drive southbound from El Cotillo. Our car has almost 200’000 km on its mileage meter and makes tortured sounds.

Then we are at the end of the road: waves! Glistening sunlight reflected in El Cotillo.

Ripping the wave at sundown.

Space to breathe at Fuerteventura’s north shore.

Toes in the sand and a beer in the hand.

Looking for waves to come.

Dream-like seascape in the last sunlight.

I discovered this camper standing in the dust at the outskirts. No one was around and I have no idea to whom this camper belongs. A camper is a perfect symbol for dreams: who isn’t dreaming of a roadtrip? Is the owner of the camper at the end of his journey, or did he get stuck and tries to get on the road again? Or she might have found her love here and settled, who knows?

Beauty out of the blue. Turquoise water and crisp waves.

Christmas eve in Corralejo: great waves and the Isla Lobos.

Get your sinuses flushed at the harbour wall in Corralejo.

Hypnotising water movement.

The horse wave.

Line-up somewhere at the north shore.

Surfing the night between Corralejo and Isla Lobos.
Hi,
